Jamilla was a world-renowned pole artist, performer and teacher whose strength, artistry and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
This website and The Melissa Foundation are lovingly dedicated to my best friend Jamilla Deville, whose life was forever changed by breast cancer. Losing her showed me how deeply cancer impacts not only those diagnosed, but everyone who loves them. Her memory inspires our mission to help people find trusted resources, make healthier choices, and feel empowered to live healthier, fuller lives at every stage of their journey — before, during and after cancer.
For Jamilla, and everyone whose life has been touched by cancer, may we turn loss into hope, knowledge into action, and every day into an opportunity to live healthier.
